Are There Any Ways To Lift Breasts Naturally?

The only way of significantly raising and reshaping breasts that are drooping due to loss of skin elasticity is through a breast lift. The Philadelphia area’s Dr. Scott Chapin explains that even though there’s no other method that offers dramatic and permanent results, there are other things that can be done at home to help maintain perky breasts.

To understand why breast sagging happens—as well as how to fix it—it’s helpful to first understand the anatomy of breasts. The breasts themselves don’t contain any muscle. They’re made up of fat, fibrous tissue, and glandular tissue.

Sagging occurs naturally as you age because ligaments in the breasts stretch out. At the same time, a reduction in collagen, estrogen deficiency, and gravity also have an effect on the breasts’ appearance. Multiple pregnancies, sun damage, smoking, or rapid weight loss or weight gain are also common causes of sagging breasts.

Keep in mind that many of the strategies intended to counter these destructive elements are not quick fixes for sagging breasts and will have to be done long term to achieve the best results. Taking good care of your body will generally help you to preserve the elasticity and strength of your skin.

Maintain a Stable, Healthy Weight

During an average person’s lifetime, the breasts may become larger or smaller as weight fluctuates. Weight gain can cause the breasts to grow and, in turn, stretches the skin. Weight loss can cause the breasts to shrink, which can result in sagging skin because the breast skin remains stretched out. Managing a consistent weight that is healthy for your height is an ideal way to prevent unnecessary skin stretching. While it may not always be easy to maintain a stable weight—since hormonal changes and other factors can affect your weight—one sure-fire way to avoid extreme weight loss is to avoid unhealthy yo-yo dieting or extreme crash diets. Additionally, maintaining a healthy weight with a slimmer waist will make your breasts look more proportional and larger.

Do Targeted Upper Body Exercises

As mentioned before, the breast themselves don’t contain muscle, so exercising can’t fix saggy breasts. However, building the muscles that are located below the breasts, which are called the pectoralis major muscles, is one way of maintaining firmer breasts. Strengthening these muscles will give the breasts a natural lift. Some examples include push-ups, planks, chest fly, and chest presses.

Maintain Good Posture

One of the easiest and most obvious ways to achieve “shapelier breasts” is to avoid slouching. When you stand straighter, your breasts will appear higher on your chest. Practicing good posture helps to keep your body in alignment and reduce joint pain. By maintaining good posture, you’ll also make your breasts look bigger and perkier. On the other hand, slouching all the time makes breasts more likely to sag and droop. Good posture helps to strengthen your core so that your shoulders fall back and you’re not leaning forward.

Wear a Proper Bra

You need a high-quality, properly fitted bra to provide the support you need. Wearing a bra that fits well will reduce stress and strain on the breasts.

Sun Protection

Skin care experts constantly stress the importance of sun safety if you want to lower your risk of skin cancer while avoiding wrinkles and other signs of aging that are associated with damage from ultraviolet radiation. Remember that the sun’s rays break down collagen and elastin, so sun damage can cause the skin on the breasts to stretch and sag. Additionally, the decrease in collagen production in the body as you age makes the skin in this area more likely to become thin and droopy. You can help to protect the skin by applying broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and applying moisturizers, just like you would on your face and the rest of your body.

Despite following these tips, many people will likely find that their breasts begin to sag over the years—especially if there are pregnancies and nursing babies along the way.
