The First Lady and daughters hit the town Saturday in New York for a Broadway show while the President was baching it at the White House.

Michelle took Malia and Sasha to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in midtown to watch "The Trip to Bountiful."

The ladies slipped in shortly before the show began and after intermission, the audience greeted the mother and daughter trio with roaring applause.

The Obama femmes schmoozed with cast members Cicely Tyson, Vanessa Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr. after the show.

Obama was in New York to kick off the 2013 Arthur Ashe Kids' Day Saturday, in advance of the U.S. Open.

Tennis champ Serena Williams introduced Obama, looking chic in white slacks and a Prabal Gurung peplum top, at the Saturday afternoon event in Flushing, Queens.

The President's wife encouraged pint-sized fans to stay active playing the sport, as part of her Let's Move campaign to combat childhood obesity.

After the Obama girls enjoyed a day out, the President took to the golf course Sunday for some guy time.
