The Delight And Challenges Of A Pandemics Wedding

A wedding is a ceremony in which two persons tied in a knot of love, affection, care, vows, and relationship. To every person, a wedding is the most special day in his/her life. Everyone dreams of making it as relish as possible. We all start planning for a wedding for at least one year before that day. It takes a lot of struggle, effort, fun, and imagination to be best on that day, from seating arrangement to what would be my dress? We plan everything.

BUT PANDEMIC!

All fun and excitement have ended, as we are under the spell of a coronavirus pandemic. Life is unpredictable; no one knew of this pandemic and what consequences it will bring.  All kinds of events get prohibited like prom, festival, wedding, convention, and baby shower. It postpones national and international matches. This pandemic has changed the living style of us. It is sad to say that this epidemic has confused couples about whether to have a small wedding or postpone it? Weddings all around the world are postponed and expected at the start of 2021.

Post COVID-19 Weddings

Post COVID-19, weddings will be different, as 'New Normal' life maintains social distance, wearing masks, no physical touch wedding as forced to be postponed or smaller. However, many couples have decided not to let pandemic come between them. They are getting married on the expected date but have made their wedding small.

Weddings are taking place in a particular district, in the open, with just immediate family. Many couples are getting married in one day. They are planning on brief notice, as they expect no guests, only compulsory things get arranged. For décor arrangements, you can even ask same day flower delivery Newport Beach CA if you live in California. However, everything has its pros and cons.

Challenges

Pandemic has left the couple from having a big, magical fairytale wedding to a dilemma where or when my marriage would be? Because of the epidemic, people who want to have a big fat wedding are postponing it. Couples have delayed all the arrangements. However, wedding services companies are trying their best to be open to new ideas to make the wedding possible.  The Church of England has announced not more than five people are allowed to be in the wedding ceremony; the priest, the bride, the groom, and two witnesses. But some couples wanted to have their dream wedding and wanted to have their friends, family on their side. Unfortunately, they have to wait for this outbreak to end.

Wedding Planners

However, the pandemic has not just affected the couples. It has also put pressure on the wedding industry to provide new options to the partners. Post COVID-19 wedding gets planned with new norms, open-air venue, and well-spaced tables. After the pandemics, people will look forward to socializing. Wedding planners need to take precautionary measures in a large gathering.

Wedding planners need to take all precautionary measures for a big gathering like a wedding. They can give novel ideas to couples like Open-air venues, and well- seated arrangements. An open-air venue means a sizable space to maintain social distancing. Then, the seating arrangement should be well- thought, and there should be a distance of at least one meter between two persons. As in the past, weddings used to serve lunch/dinner in a lavish buffet-style. However, this can change if a wedding planner can assign one designated server to serve one dish to avoid any social contact.

DELIGHT

This pandemic has not just made people stressed or panic. It has also helped many couples. Couples cannot afford a big wedding and a long list of guests, but under the pressure of status and relationship, they can't invite many people, but now they can shortlist. Soon couples can wed on a small budget. In Asian countries, people are fond of big fat weddings and spend an enormous amount of money on the arrangement, and extended functions now can shrink their big fat wedding.

Pandemic has also given time for couples to better plan their wedding. Postponing their wedding will provide more time to plan, find their desired venue, and book a suitable date. However, this pandemic has also made people realize that marriage is not about dinner, family presence, or making big arrangements, finding the best venue. Instead, it is about two people accepting each other with flaws and completing one another. Many couples marry in their home and take their vows, while their family and friends are joining them with zoom.

Conclusion

We all pray that soon this pandemic gets over. We all come back to our previous life. And we all enjoy the same blessings we used to. However, this is a tough time for all of us. This pandemic has a devastating effect on couples to postpone their wedding, but a wedding is about the person you love. We should look forward and be optimistic about it.
