Golden Globes 2015: Red Carpet Looks Roundup
By Emma Akbareian for The Independent UK
From Emma Stone to Anna Kendrick, here is our roundup of the best and worst looks at the Golden Globes 2015.
As one of the biggest events on the Hollywood calendar, the Golden Globes red carpet is rather an epic one; playing host to stars not just from the film world but TV too.
So who got it right and who missed the mark? Here is our roundup of who wore what at the Golden Globes 2015:

Emma Stone breaks the mould in a Lanvin jumpsuit. Not wearing a dress is a risk at an event like this but the combination of the embellishment of the top half of this with the caped back makes it work.

A very big dress for a rather little lady, the colour and pattern are lovely but the whole dress is perhaps just a little too voluminous.

Jennifer Aniston unsurprisingly went down the black dress angle. She chose a dress by Saint Laurent with sequinned neckline and thigh high split.

Jennifer Lopez doing what Jennifer Lopez does best. Classic JLo hair and makeup teamed with a characteristically spectacular dress.

Fellow attendees take note from this master class in red carpet dressing. Julianne can do no wrong, this Givenchy gown, custom-made of course, has it all; bling, feathers, sparkle.

Reese Witherspoon shows off her veteran red carpet status in this strapless shimmer gown by Calvin Klein. The colour and shape of the gown plus the old school Hollywood hair and makeup are exactly right.

Lupita was last year's red carpet winner, she went all out in this Giambattista Valli couture gown. But unlike last season where she commanded the red carpet, this dress seems to wear her.

Cutaway details are not the most natural of partners for red carpet dresses but it's definitely seems to be a trend at the Golden Globes. The side details on this Versace dress come adorned with bling, naturally. And no-one wears a white dress on a red carpet better than Ms Hudson.

A one shoulder gown in a soft powder blue makes for a very pretty gown with the draping adding some detail, but it’s a safe choice for Amy and won’t be winning any awards.

Emily Blunt channels a Grecian goddess in this white dress which was custom made for her by Michael Kors. The combination of the dress and an equally Grecian hairstyle may just push her slightly into the fancy dress category.

Jessica Chastain opted for a plunging neckline gown by Atelier Versace. The bronze high-shine colour is an odd choice, perhaps she channeling the Golden Globe she hopes to win later.

Keira Knightley likes to think outside the box when it comes to the red carpet, this custom made dress by Chanel isn't to everyone's taste but with its feather embroidery, it's a thing of beauty.

Kerry Washington is flying the flag for London Fashion Week favourite Mary Katrantzou in a pink and navy gown. It’s a classic shape but with a hint of Katrantzou’s iconic prints.

Lorde makes a daring choice in a Narciso Rodriguez suit, great to see a breakaway from the normal red carpet gowns, if only this was a little more fitted.

Monochrome is a timeless colour combination. A half tuxedo, half dress creation however is not. The bow tie is a nice added detail to this look that Melissa made herself!

Mossy green is not an easy colour to wear on the red carpet, but Ruth pulls it off in this Prada shift dress complete with contrast stitching detail.
