Here's The Deets About Jessica Simpson's Delivery Drama!

Jessica Simpson and her fiance recently became parents for the second time.

The delivery, we're told, was rather dramatic ... or as dramatic as a scheduled C-section can be. It's a slow celebrity gossip week. We feel ya, In Touch.

“She had a suite at the hospital and her whole family was going to be there waiting for her when she got out of the delivery room,” says an alleged insider.

The birth of son Ace Knute couldn’t have come a moment too soon, either.

“This pregnancy has been difficult,” says a Simpson family source.

For Jessica, who gave birth to daughter Maxwell barely a year ago (May 1, 2012), it's been a rough couple of years spent mostly being pregnant.

“She was even more sick and all around more uncomfortable than she was the last time,” says the insider, noting that home renovations didn't help.

Seriously. They were working on a TIGHT schedule.

She and Eric Johnson are in the middle of renovating their new $11.5 million Hidden Hills, Calif. mansion, and the work went "down to the wire."

#richpeopleproblems. All worth it, though. "Jess has been through a lot,” says the insider of the mother of two.

“She could not be happier to have a healthy baby boy and Maxwell is really excited! She is so blessed and happy and is in the best place right now.”
