In a world of body consciousness, body wisdom is sometimes hard to come by, but Drew Barrymore seems to have a good handle on what's important.

In a new interview with Glamour magazine, the 40-year-old actress opened up about the changes her body has gone through following the births of her two daughters, Olive, 2, and Frankie, 11 months.

"After making two babies, holy cow, does your body do some crazy stuff!" she said. "It’s hard to stay positive and love yourself. You feel like a kangaroo with a giant pouch; everything’s saggy and weird. But you think about how beautiful it is that you’re able to make children. When I lose sight of that, I exercise, read Dr. Seuss’sOh, the Places You’ll Go!, and spend time with my kids. Then I start to see things that are bigger than myself."

In November, she talked to the "Today" show about the dichotomies of self image that every woman deals with.

"I just think that every woman, naked in her closet, has the things that she's liking and battling with ... It's like when I go and try on clothes in a dressing room, I try to be excited about the things that are looking good, as opposed to that pile that really made me feel horrible," she said. "And you appreciate every moment, 'cause it's only gonna sag more. So let's appreciate today and be brave."

Bravo, Ms. Barrymore.
