These Coffee Drinks Will Fuel Your Mom Life

If you're a mom who doesn't drink coffee... how do you do it?

For the rest of us, coffee is life. Either we get to savor it in the moments before our kids wake up. Or, we put it in a thermos and hope we get to drink it while it's hot.

It doesn't matter how coffee hits us, though — it's our fuel. We need it to get through carpool and playdates and afterschool activities. Most of the time, any coffee will do. But we think you should try these 11 recipes to amp up your morning cup of joe because, well, you deserve it.

Crockpot Pumpkin Spice Lattes

Oh, moms — we love a pumpkin spice latte, don't we? This recipe is super easy because it involves the Crockpot. Throw in pumpkin puree, cinnamon, vanilla, milk and a bit of sugar with your strongly brewed coffee. Once it warms up and blends, you'll have all of the pumpkin-y goodness you could want without hitting the Starbucks drive-through. Winning!

Honey Cinnamon Iced Latte

On some days, hot coffee doesn't hit the spot. So, try this honey cinnamon iced latte recipe on for size instead. You'll need to have some cold brew coffee on hand, and you'll have to spend five minutes creating a simple syrup on the stove. But pouring this drink together is pretty simple once you have all the components ready.

Coconut Milk Latte

A three-ingredient latte? Sign us up! You just need brewed coffee, coconut cream and a dash of cinnamon to make this slightly tropical, super tasty beverage. You'll mix it in a blender to create a frothy foam on top of your drink, which you can sip hot or cold. Yum.

Canadian Coffee

Just as every season has its coffee drinks, every country has its way of serving the beverage. Some say the Canadian coffee incorporates one of the country's signature ingredients, maple syrup. With that, you'll blend coffee and heavy cream for a sweet treat to get you through all of your mom things.

Fresh Raspberry Iced Coffee

Fruit and coffee? Trust us, it's good. This iced beverage brings together all of the classic ingredients of an iced coffee — frothed milk, coffee, ice and sweetener. To that, you'll add fresh raspberries and cacao for a unique but delicious flavor combination.

Low-Carb Frozen Coffee Drink

Sometimes, you just need a blended coffee. Skip the Frappuccino in favor of this homemade version. The best part is that you can tailor the amount of sweetener and flavoring you put into the recipe. You can also select the kind of milk you add, too, although the recipe's author suggests half-and-half. No matter what, you'll have a blended cup of frozen coffee in the end.

Turmeric Latte

Turmeric has a slew of health benefits, primarily because of its anti-inflammatory qualities. So, whip some turmeric into your morning cup of joe. You can sweeten its earthy flavor with other spices, including cinnamon, ginger and vanilla bean paste. Coconut sugar or honey will sweeten the final product and make it a little morning treat for you.

Gingerbread Coffee

It doesn't have to be fall for you to crave warm flavors such as nutmeg, ginger and cloves. All of those spices plus cinnamon feature in this gingerbread coffee recipe. If you're looking to skip out on the syrups used at your favorite coffee shop, this recipe's a great, all-natural substitute.

S'mores Coffee

Marshmallow whipped cream... must we say more? This recipe brings everyone's favorite campfire snack to your morning coffee cup. You'll fold marshmallow bits into the whipped cream topping, for one. You'll also add chocolate powder and crushed graham crackers to your brew. We are trying this one, too.

Breakfast Coffee Banana Smoothie

Moms sometimes have to kill two birds with one stone. This recipe incorporates coffee into a breakfast smoothie for an energy boost and some nourishment, to boot. Namely, there's greek yogurt in the smoothie, which gives you protein to keep you full and energized.

Mason Jar Cold Brew Coffee

What tastes better than coffee? Coffee from a mason jar, of course. You can quickly whip up this cold brew recipe in mason jars you have lying around your house. You just need water and coarsely ground beans to prep your morning joe the night before. If you like extra-strong coffee, though, you might want to let it brew for a full day before drinking.

Either way, you'll wake up to a cold brew you can drink on its own or blend into the above recipes. We all know cold brew provides a serious caffeine kick perfect for mamas on the go.
