Mother Gives Birth On Abandoned Stretch Of Highway

A mother who gave birth to twins prematurely by the side of a deserted stretch of interstate and brought one back to life with CPR has told of her fear that her babies would die.

Lynette Hales gave birth to J.J and A.J on the hard shoulder of the I-80 from Utah to Nevada after her waters broke three months early.

The first baby to be born, J.J, was a 'greyish-blue' colour and wasn't breathing, but the 39-year-old revived her son with the help of her friend Jim Gerber who was driving her back from an overnight stay in the gambling town of Wendover, Nevada.
