Over at Glamour HQ, they are huge fans of Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and her classic, elegant, dignified style. But if you've ever secretly wished that Kate would switch things up once in a while and get a little wild with her fashion choices--well, looks like you're not the only one!

According to a report in Grazia, Kate's BFF, interior designer Emilia Jardine-Paterson, one of Prince George's godparents and a longtime friend of the Duchess', has been helping the royal couple out with home decorating--and giving Kate fashion tips at the same time!

"Kate admires Emilia's style," an insider told the magazine. "Emilia has become increasingly important to her and Kate always uses her as a sounding board. Emilia is trying to move Kate away from the Middleton neutral palette and push her towards color or pattern."

Ooh--more color and more pattern! We love that idea. Whenever Kate wears bright, sparklier, or printed pieces, we always notice. Like here in her glamorous Jenny Packham gown:

And this Dalmation-spotted black-and-white number is so cute on her:

So what do royal-watchers in the UK think is on the menu for Kate's fashion future?

"Emilia loves vintage and tries to get Kate to be a bit more quirky," the insider says.

And, apparently, Emilia and Kate have had a longstanding fashion back-and-forth. "When they were at school, she used to tease Kate about her prim Jigsaw shirts and hated those fur gilets Kate wore."

We love that even Kate Middleton has a kooky friend who pushes her to expand her fashion horizons--we like to think of Emilia as the Rayanne Graff to Kate's Angela Chase. What do you think Kate should experiment with, fashion-wise? Tell us in the comments below or
