Channing Tatum explains That Fatherhood Has made him 'fappy'
In Magic Mike he had washboard six-pack abs. But since becoming a father, former Sexiest Man Alive cover boy Channing Tatum has admitted to taking time off to spend time with his new baby, resulting in a softer, 'fappier' version of his former self.
While on the Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday the 33-year-old explained, 'Right now, what me and my wife like to call it, I am very fappy. I’m very fat and happy right now.'
Tatum appeared on Ellen to discuss Team Oscar Project, a contest that invites college students above the age of 18 to submit short films for the chance to win a seat at an Academy Award rehearsal.
The 21 Jump Street star glowed when talking about daughter Everly, aged eight months, who he had with spouse Jenna Dewan-Tatum.
'[Everly] actually has better taste in music than I think I do, because she only will fall asleep to really good music,' the Step Up actor remarked to DeGeneres.
After Ellen what is on her song list, Tatum rattled off artists such as Drake, and Prince’s song Most Beautiful Girl in the World.
While the actor still looks handsome, he did have a noticeably bigger waist line as he wore a large grey button down shirt to hide his tummy.
His face also seemed less chiseled.
'I like to be lean. If I get too bulky I can’t move well and I like to move.
When I’m not training, I get really round and soft,' Channing told People Magazine in 2012.
Tatum has reprised his role as an undercover cop for 22 Jump Street, the sequel to 2012's 21 Jump Street.
The film is expected to hit UK theaters on June 6, 2014.
