New dad Prince William: I'm on diaper duty

It has been nearly two weeks since the birth of his son Prince George, and new dad Prince William took a break from parenting duties this weekend to play a round of polo with his brother Prince Harry. But he admitted to reporters it was tough to get his head in the game.

"I was in baby mode out there, thinking about nappies, I wasn't really in the zone," Prince William, 31, said after the match. (“Nappies” is the British word for “diapers.”) Still, he managed to score a winning goal for his team, Audi Quattro.

The match was part of the annual Audi Polo Challenge, which is held yearly and aids charities. At last year’s match Prince William’s wife Duchess Kate was in attendance, but she was nowhere to be seen Saturday -- though it seems wife and baby weren’t far from his thoughts. When asked about his son, Prince William said, "He likes to move around a lot, he wriggles a lot, he keeps us on our toes."

He left the match with a gift for his son, Prince George, a mini polo stick given to him by the Audi UK director Martin Sander. As Prince William was being presented the gift he asked if it was diapers, saying, “I’ve got to pick some up on my way home.”
