About | Betsy Schwartz

Betsy Schwartz has been a doula since 1991.  She considers herself a pioneer and a visionary, establishing Tenth Month Doula Services in 1994, the first of its kind in South Florida. Being a doula and a postpartum doula trainer is her calling and her passion.  Betsy holds a master’s degree in management of human services and is a DONA International certified postpartum doula and postpartum doula trainer.

Betsy is a founding member and former Board member of the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services.  She continues pioneering in Citrus County Florida where she is actively involved in community collaboration to improve birth outcomes as a member of  the Citrus County Birth and Beyond Professional Network. Betsy is also a board member of the Florida Breastfeeding Coalition.
