Viral video: Boy responds to Mom’s Pregnancy announcement

"What were you thinking?" That’s what one little boy with an impressive vocabulary wanted to know after being told by his mom that she was expecting a third child.

When Shanee Gibson Hart of Fort Lewis, Washington, shared the news about her pregnancy with her son, Tré, she caught his priceless reaction in a video posted to her Facebook page. It's since been shared more than 163,000 times.

A video of a little boy who is not pleased that he’s going to be a big brother for a second time has gone viral.

At the start of the clip, Tré’s mom, Shanee Gibson Hart, announces that she’s pregnant.

“What were you thinking? This makes no sense!” Tré responds from the backseat of the car where he’s sitting with his younger sister.

“This is exasperating!” he goes on. “You got two! Why you want to get another baby and replace one of your babies. There’s too much!”

Later in the video Tré makes the case that a baby’s crying is irritating and he tells his mom, “Buy me some ear plugs!”

This boy seems older and wiser than the average kindergartner and could have a future in politics — or at least he’d do well in a debate.

Hart posted the clip on Facebook on August 20 with the message:

My husband and I been keeping a secret from Tré, finally told him and he was not happy. He’s so smart we are very proud of our kids!

“Why you have to just get another baby? You just have two!” the young boy exclaims in the video, gesturing at times to his toddler sister sitting next to him. "This is exasperating!”

Tré makes it very clear why he’s so upset: He doesn't want to share his parents' affections. Clearly, two children should be plenty for his parents. But the boy's breakdown continues even after his mother gently explains that he and his sister can never be replaced.
